Everyday Help with AI: A plain English guide to getting started

Something you can use today

Ordinary tasks. Clear next steps.

An illustrated helper prepares a message

Find the words

Turn a few details about a broken washer into a short message asking about availability and the visit fee.

An illustrated shopping comparison

Understand the change

Work through a fictional bill increase, separate the charges, and prepare the question to ask customer service.

An illustrated helper organizes a bounded task

Delegate a job

Give an agent a small batch of records, a clear finish line, and a result you can check.

“Help me write a short text to an appliance repair person. My washer finishes the cycle but the clothes are still very wet. I’m available Thursday afternoon. Ask if they work on washers and what the service-call fee is.”

Each example shows a starting request, an illustrative answer, a follow-up, and what to check before using the result.

For the beginning, and what comes next

You don’t need a special prompt formula.

This guide is for adults starting with AI and people helping someone else get comfortable with it. Use ordinary language, add the details that matter, and steer the answer when it misses the point.

Small illustrations mark topic changes so you can find material again.

What the direct edition includes

  • Illustrated PDF with linked contents and bookmarks.
  • Reflowable EPUB with adjustable text in compatible reading apps.
  • Examples covering messages, meals, bills, records, research, spreadsheets, projects, and agents.

PDF and EPUB contain the same book. Read offline after downloading; practicing with AI and opening source links need internet. E-book only: no audio, AI subscription, ongoing updates, or personal support service included.

A few practical questions

Do I need a paid AI account?

You can begin with a free ChatGPT account. Some advanced tools, connections, and limits depend on your account and plan. The book does not supply access to them.

What will I download?

One ZIP containing the PDF, EPUB, and Read Me First instructions. Extract the ZIP, then choose either format: the PDF keeps the illustrated page layout; the EPUB adjusts the text to fit your screen in a compatible reading app. Both contain the same book.

Can I read it on my phone?

Use the EPUB in a compatible reading app to adjust text size, or open the PDF in your phone’s PDF reader. You can also read either format on a tablet or computer.

Are the conversations real customer results?

No. They are fictional teaching examples. Your assistant’s answers and available tools will vary. The guide teaches you to check the result.

Is this an OpenAI product?

No. ClearBatch Studio publishes this independent guide. It includes AI-generated text and artwork with human direction and editing.

See whether the approach fits you.

Read a control lesson, a message example, a bill comparison, and the introduction to agents before buying.

Not sure what to ask first?

Try five simple AI prompts for messages, meals, plans, comparisons, and explanations. Each has a follow-up you can use to steer the answer.
